Therapy & ongoing support

Goal-focused therapy to build skills, confidence and independence

Types of therapy support

Therapy at Sensphere is flexible and tailored to each child or young person's needs. We offer:

Therapy sessions
  • Individual therapy sessions

One-to-one sessions focused on specific goals, typically 45-60 minutes. These may take place in a clinic, at home or at school.

  • Blocks of intervention

A series of sessions (often 6-12 sessions) focused on a particular area, with clear goals and regular review.

  • Home and school programmes

Practical strategies and activities that families and schools can carry out between sessions to support progress.

Our therapy approach

Our therapy is child-led, collaborative and practical:

  • Child-led

We follow the child or young person's interests and work at their pace, using activities they enjoy.

  • Collaborative

We work closely with families and schools to ensure strategies can be carried over into everyday life.

  • Practical strategies

Our recommendations are realistic and achievable, designed to fit into existing routines and environments.

Review and ending

We regularly review progress with families and adjust therapy goals as needed. Therapy may pause or end when:

  • Goals have been achieved and the child or young person is managing well
  • A break is needed to allow time for skills to consolidate
  • The family feels confident to continue with strategies independently

We're always happy to discuss returning for further support if new needs arise or circumstances change.
