Referrals
Information for parents, carers, schools and professionals
For parents and carers
If you're concerned about your child's development, participation in daily activities or need for support, you can refer directly to Sensphere.
What information is helpful?
- • Your child's age
- • Main concerns or areas where support is needed
- • Any existing reports or assessments (if available)
- • Whether you've discussed concerns with your child's school
You don't need a formal referral from a GP or other professional, though we are happy to work alongside other services if they're involved.
For schools and professionals
Schools, SENDCOs, GPs and other professionals can refer children and young people to Sensphere. We welcome collaboration and can work alongside existing support.
What information is helpful?
- • Child or young person's age and year group
- • Main areas of concern or support needs
- • Relevant background information and school observations
- • Any existing reports or assessments
- • Parent or carer consent for referral
We can provide assessments and reports that support EHCP applications or annual reviews where appropriate.
How referrals work
Referrals can be made via our contact form, email or phone. We will acknowledge your referral and arrange an initial discussion to:
- •Understand your concerns and what you're hoping to achieve
- •Discuss whether an assessment or therapy would be most appropriate
- •Explain our process, timeframes and costs
- •Answer any questions you have
Costs
We will provide a clear breakdown of costs before you decide whether to go ahead. This includes assessment fees, therapy session costs and report writing fees. We aim to be transparent about all charges from the outset.
